How to read the result
Fuel is the part of a road trip people guess at and get wrong, especially when comparing a drive to a flight.
Enter distance, efficiency and pump price to get the trip cost and the per-mile or per-kilometre rate.
This page is set to Netherlands and prints EUR. Starts at € 2,05 per litre. Every figure is a starting point you should overwrite with your own.

Questions people ask
- MPG or L/100km?
- They are reciprocals: 235.215 divided by one gives the other. MPG rises as efficiency improves, L/100km falls. This page defaults to metric, which is what pumps in Netherlands use.
- What is fuel costing in the Netherlands?
- The default here is € 2,05 per litre, a reasonable recent figure for Netherlands. Pump prices move weekly, so put in what you actually paid.
- Should I use the sticker efficiency?
- Real-world consumption usually runs 10–20% worse than the official figure, more so in cold weather or city traffic.
